Taniqua thought that the lake would be a good place to take her new friend Yan. It was relaxing and she haven't seen that much people pass through this place so it was quiet too. She had been to the lake before, usually just to train her powers and such. She was still holding her hand as she lead her through the woods and to the small lake. She let go of Yan's hand when they finally made it out into the clearing. "This the Lakeside...Isn't it relaxing" She said brushing the strings of her from her face to behind her ear. Her long blonde was usually always getting in the way no matter how many times she brushed it away, but she didn't care much. Taniqua sighed as she watched fire flies fly around and near the lake waters. Crickets could be heard chirping for the night had just begun.
Taniqua had never been out here during the night and hopefully they wouldn't get caught out here. Tani sat down near the edge of the lake and hummed a soft tune using her elemental powers to make a figure of a person making it look like it was dancing. Though she said that her mind wasn't stuck on the ball, guess she really was. She stopped and let the water drop before sighing again. She looked up at Yan and waited for her to say something, though she wasn't sure that she was going to say anything.

The light had already fallen amongst the trees across the lake. Strokes of it still lingered on the night sky - as if someone had just brushed them on ever so gently. The lake was still except for a halo of water that danced on the surface just for a moment. The sight of it all stunned Yan so that she forgot that they had stopped and that Taniqua had let go of her hand. She’s doing it again, she thought excitedly.
Yan watched quietly as a blob of water slithered up from the surface of the lake. The movement of Taniqua’s hand and fingers were as elegant as the way the water took shape. Suddenly, it all ended and the figure just plopped back into the water without a splash. She looked into her eyes and blushed. She’d been silent for so long. Taniqua must think she was bored or something.
“This is a really nice place. I can’t believe it’s in the school,” she said. She stopped for a moment and sat down near the rocks that were almost touching the lake. The coolness of the rock rushed through her palms as she leaned back; putting her weight on them for support. “That’s really cool... The way you shape the water, I mean…”

Taniqua looked towards Yan and smiled sweetly. She liked Yan so far, she could tell that they were going to be good friends..or. Nah, probably just friends. She sighed and sat back lightly, the wind slowly brushed brushed through her hair and rippled the winds. It seemed that Yan liked what Taniqua had did with the water, it was a simply trick her mother taught her. "Oh, yeah..thanks" She said taking a look back towards the water and towards the tree's watching as they swayed in the cool wind. "So, what kind of creative stuff with your elemental power?" She asked. Now that she thinks about it, she hasn't really seen her use her power, she started to wonder what degree she was. She had forgot if she did tell her. Taniqua didn't really remember the simple things that she would want to remember in the future.

“Hm? Oh… I do things with dirt. I’m not allowed to do ‘creative stuff’ with it though…” Yan had probably said too much. She didn’t want Taniqua to start questioning her about her family. “But I’ll show you if you want,” she added quickly. Yan brushed her bottom and jumped from the rock towards the ground. Taking deep breaths, she concentrated on the source of her power at the back of her mind. It was a giant bluish white ball formed from strands of root-like energy. She gently plucked a tiny piece of it and let it flow towards her palm and then pushed it towards the patch of earth in front of her.
Layer by layer she felt the invisible energy dig underneath. The part of the ground she was concentrating on shook a little. The upper most layers – with grass and roots – shook furiously as she dug in deeper. Not too deep, she reminded herself. “Humus-agito…” she whispered and then the earth lifted into the air, spraying tiny bits of rock and dirt as it shot up and drifted. The strand of energy covered the whole part of the earth she was controlling. Since it was damp, it was much easier to play with. Like clay… She bit her lower lip as she tried to press it into a man. She tried to remember the features that distinguished one. It didn’t look as elegant as the figure Taniqua made but he hoped it looked like a man.

Taniqua watched closely as Yan made an attempt to make a figure out of dirt. She giggled lightly, the face of the person looked deformed for a second before it started to straighten up. Taniqua clapped her hands only a few times before smiling forever sweetly. "Nice!...Not many people use their powers to be creative, they just use it for fighting and hurting people" She said letting out a slight sigh. Mostly everyone only thought to use their powers for fighting, or so thats what she had seen. She didn't like violence much, but if she had to fight she would. She stood up and dusted herself off before looking towards Yan. She smiled and spun around only once out of bordem. She walked towards Yan and smiled softly looking into her eyes.
"So! whats your favorite color?" She said grinning slightly as she made a rather bad attempt to start a conversation. Tani wasn't quite sure what to talk about but she wanted to get to know Yan more, probably this was a good way to start.

"Nice!...Not many people use their powers to be creative, they just use it for fighting and hurting people" Really? And I thought the people here are civilized... But that's probably her opinion, Yan concluded. She didn’t want to say more about that just in case she’d start an argument. That happened frequently back home. With all the hot-tempered aunts and uncles, you’d imagine what ruckus they caused - and how silly they looked, arguing with a ten year old. The figurine slowly floated onto her palm and she caught it. She'd hardened the earth so that it wouldn't fall apart that easily. "Purple," she answered without hesitation.
Fingering the figurine, she thought. Ah Ma... "You know... My grandmother once told me that youngsters shouldn't sigh that much. You'll age faster," she joked. I think I'm going to have fun here. "Here, you can have this if you want." Yan placed the figurine into Taniqua's hands, beaming. "It's kind of lame, but I'll practice doing this more. It's sorta fun." She laughed and walked around the area. She’d forgotten about the hole in the ground and walked into it. “Ow!”
So much for ‘having fun’ here. The lectures from her aunts and uncles played in her head – voices mocking more than teaching. ‘How many times have I told you to clean up after practice?! Messes don’t clean themselves up you know… Honestly, you like playing with dirt more than studying.’ Everytime, all of them will give a similar lecture if she forgot to fill up the holes she made or made too many mounds in the garden or accidentally destroyed Ah Ma's bed of ixora bushes. She frowned at the thought of those words. Pain throbbed at her ankle. She pulled up her jeans to see how badly swollen it was. I won’t be able to walk properly for at least a week, she calculated from experience.

Taniqua listened to her, she liked purple but it wasn't her favorite color. Her favorite color would have to be violet, it was a feminine and very nice color indeed. Her grand father had said that his wife's eyes were a violet color. Taniqua wasn't quite sure how that was, maybe he was drunk at the moment or something. She continued to listen to the breeze that swayed the tree's that surrounded the lakeside. She watched as a couple fire flies floated over the water. She had then turned her head back towards Yan and listened to what she had said. "Oh, well I suppose I'll try not to sigh much" She said with a light giggle afterwards. Tani brushed the strings of hair from her face to behind her ear, that was probably the longest it stayed behind her ear, but she knew eventually the hair would go back in front of her face.
She watched as she hardened the figure she had. Taniqua couldn't do that with the water, of course, if there was a person here that used the element of air, they could probably turn it into ice. She held the little man that Yan had made for her, the person was pretty good, if this was her first time doing stuff like this then she was a fast learner. "Thank you" She said with a soft smile left on her face. Taniqua stood up straight and put the dirt person inside her jacket pocket before hearing Yan yell 'Ow!'.
Taniqua quickly turned her attention to her and gasped lightly. "What happened, are you ok" She said after rushing to her side and kneeling down to see if she was ok. Taniqua wasn't really paying attention to see that Yan had sprained her ankle; It was instinct she ask if she was ok, but it was quite stupid of her, she knew that if someone hurt themselves they obviously wouldn't be ok. But she couldn't hep herself but to ask.

“The hole…” Yan started saying only she winced when she felt the pain suddenly pricked. “I think I may be able to… Ow!!” she cried out as she tried to stand up. It was obvious that her ankle couldn’t withstand her weight. She fell on her bottom and then gently stroked her ankle. Maybe she thought that she could soothe it that way. It felt like something was squeezing it like a plush toy only not letting go. She couldn’t feel a thing. It may be broken… she thought, worried.
What should she do? She could make cane or something from dirt. But that’ll probably break once she leaned on it. Hardening earth was difficult to her. The success of the figurine was just pure luck. Usually, cracks would appear on the object. Well, the process was more complicated than it looked. One was know the structure of the dirt their using, condition of it and a bunch of other things that Yan was glad she paid attention to during studies. What more hardening it until it was as strong as concrete? She bit her lower lip and winced again – a tear ran down her cheek. It hurt that bad.
Then she remembered Taniqua, staring at her, worry written on all over her face. Why hadn’t she ask her for help? All those years of being left alone to fend for herself had made her that way, she supposed. It was awkward – the feeling of helplessness. She didn’t know why but she felt annoyed of herself. Is it because she couldn’t come up with a solution? Whatever… I just want to get back to the dorm… She was too tired to think.

Tani didn't just want to sit there, maybe she could help balance out her weight so that she wouldn't have to lean on her wounded ankle. "I've got a first aid kit in my dorm..." She said as she started to look around before grabbing Yan's arm and gently throwing it over her shoulder and wrapped one arm around her so that she could help her stand. But Taniqua made sure to move slow, she didn't want to move to fast and put to much pressure on her. For some reason she felt like this was her fault, It was so like Tani to always force the blame on herself. She couldn't help it, she was the one that asked Yan if she wanted to come out here and she was the one that asked Yan to do something creative with her powers. She didn't want to think about that right now. Her sister had told her how to tell if something was broken or not, if somewhere around the wound starts to turn white then that means it's broken because the white thing is the bone showing from behind the skin.
Taniqua couldn't tell if it was broken or not yet, she had to wait till they got back to the dorms and examined the wound. "I'm sorry for making you come out here..I can take you back to your dorm if you want.." She said. Tani stopped herself from sighing, she let Yan lean on her for support and simply waited for her to say where she wanted to go next.

Yan let Taniqua help her get up. She knew she was trying to be gentle but Yan really wanted to get back to the dorm as quick as possible. Hopefully, she wasn’t too heavy. She winced as she tried to push on her right leg to get up. Gently… she scolded herself. She’d forgotten about Siao Lang; and just when she didn’t want to care about anything else. Images of her scratching her sheets and breaking her belongings played in her mind. She was always impatient and acted like an emperess. Sometimes, Yan wondered what she saw in that cat.
Frustrated, she gritted her teeth and pushed herself up with her other leg and balanced herself. Using the other was just going to slow her down; and it's not worth the pain. She might have looked silly, but she didn’t care. “I want to go back to my dorm,” she said in a huff and not meeting Taniqua’s eyes. Her concentration was on balancing on one foot now so she kept her attention on the ground. She sounded a bit angry though – which she was – but it wasn’t at Taniqua. Usually, she’d burst into a fit about now. Well, it’ll just hurt if she did – the ankle that is.
With great caution, she lightly hopped forward just to see whether she could do it. Yes! The landing was a bit wobbly but at least she didn’t tumble down with Taniqua (or onto her as a matter of fact). It’ll be more of a problem if she was injured as well. She knew these things happened sometimes – when something goes wrong and something worst follows after that. Great, only few hundred steps more. Being optimistic was a must then. If only her anger would stop bubbling.

OOC|| Wanna make a thread at her dorm? or something..
Taniqua still thought that this was her fault. The way Yan acted with the problem made her seem even more guilty. She looked away from Yan and continued to look forward. She stayed quiet for awhile, she knew that if she said something it wouldn't help. But Tani didn't want to only think about herself, she wanted to help with Yan's ankle. Her sisters had always helped her with a bruises and such, Emily was a nurse and had taught her good health tips. She knew how to tell if the ankle was broken, the bone was simply pushed out of place, only slightly, but not to much. It could easily be fixed but of course it'll hurt. Taniqua wasn't sure if Yan wanted her help though.
She continued to help Yan back to her dorm, she had got her into this, the least she could do is try to help.
