 Jake Redford. The name should immediately be familiar to most students, but more for Jake#s heritage than for the boy himself. His dad is a high-profile guy in the elementalist world, involved in setting up the framework of the Rules of Elemental Conduct in the outside world. His mother's giftless, which explains Jake's less-than-perfect 2nd Degree skill. He's now 18 and in his fourth year here at Ludus Elementum.
When it comes to a social life Jake's one of the lads; he's outgoing and chatty with anyone but is less confident outside his social circle than you might assume. He is a master of the "popular guy" persona which masks a slightly quieter, more bookish boy when he's on his own or at home. His popularity is quite a recent thing, since he's only grown into his looks in the past year, so he's still working out the whole social scene and beginning to feel at home in his "bad boy" image. Partying, drinking, flings and whatever are all on the cards, although this boy hasn't touched drugs yet. With relationships; when he's in them, they're serious, but if not, he's down for anything. Hit him with your best shot darlings!
